Design

The Galaxy F34 has a mid-range classic look. It is glass front and plastic frame, thus results in a smooth, clean, unibody design. This rear design has a glossy finish a major fingerprint magnet, which detracts from its premium appeal.

Additionally, this phone has a light weight and slim body measuring 161.7 x 77.2 x 8.8 mm in dimension and 208 g in weight, thus ensuring a comfortable grip when in use.

On the front, there is a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with thin bezels and a centered punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera. This design choice gives the device a premium look from the front. The Samsung Galaxy F34 overall aesthetic is balanced and visually pleasing, with the chin blending seamlessly with the device.

The rear panel has three camera lens arrange vertically with a LED flash beside it. this is the same camera arrangement as the Galaxy S23 series smartphones. At the bottom of the rear panel, sits the beautifully inscribed “Samsung” branding without being overly prominent.

Meanwhile, at the bottom, you’ll find the USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a mono speaker with Dolby Atmos support. On the right side of the device, you’ll find the power button which also functions as a fingerprint scanner, and the volume rockers.

Additionally, the left side features a hybrid SIM tray that can accommodate either two SIM cards or one SIM card and a microSD card, while the top has a secondary microphone for audio capture and noise cancellation.

Display

Samsung Galaxy F34 boasts a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen that delivers an impressive visual experience. While it may be considered small in comparison to larger devices, this screen size offers a balance between compactness and ample viewing space.

It has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, the display ensures sharp and detailed imagery with a pixel density of 396 ppi which contributes to the overall sharpness of the screen, ensuring that individual pixels are indistinguishable to the human eye.

Furthermore, the Galaxy F34 display offers support for 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. This means that the screen is capable of reproducing a wide range of colors, resulting in vivid and accurate color representation. It also features a maximum of 1000 nits (peak) brightness. This ensures that the screen remains easily visible even under bright lighting conditions, allowing you to comfortably use your device outdoors or in well-lit environments.

Moreover, this display measures 83.1% screen-to-body ratio, which makes the bezels relatively small and unobtrusive. Similarly, this 4G device has 19.5:9 ratio, hence, it provides a wider viewing area for users, although might be lacking compare to phones with 20:9 ratio.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy F34 sports 120Hz refresh rate. This higher refresh rate provides smoother scrolling, improved responsiveness, and a more fluid overall experience compared to traditional 60Hz displays. Whether you’re swiping through menus, playing games, or watching videos, the 120Hz refresh rate adds an extra level of smoothness and responsiveness to your interactions.

Camera

Similar to Galaxy M34, the Samsung Galaxy F34 has a triple rear camera consisting of a 50MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor and 2MP depth sensor.

The primary camera has a 50MP sensor that captures sharp and detailed images. It has f/1.8 aperture with wide focus length and PDAF that quickly determine the distance to the subject and adjust the focus accordingly. This camera uses pixel-binning technology to combine multiple pixels into one, resulting in brighter and more detailed photos in low-light conditions.

Additionally, the 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, a supporting sensor for the main camera impresses with its wide field of view, allowing users to capture expansive scenes in daylight.

Lastly, the 2MP camera lens falls a bit short. When used in conjunction with the main sensor, shots can suffer, appearing grainy and occasionally oversaturated. With its limited resolution, it does not offer significant advantages in terms of image quality or versatility compared to the primary and ultra-wide cameras.

The Samsung Galaxy F34 also features a 13 MP front camera with camera app packed with features that enhance your photography experience, including Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face detection, and Touch to focus.

Above all, the Samsung F34 is capable of recording video at different resolutions and frame rates. It can record video at a maximum resolution of 4K (3840 x 2160) at 30 frames per second (fps) and minimum of 720p (1280 x 720) resolution at 480 fps, which is a high frame rate that can be used for creating slow-motion videos.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy F34 is powered by the Exynos 1280 chipset, an octa-core CPU built on a 5nm process. It consists of 2×2.4 GHz Cortex-A78 cores for performance and 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores for efficiency. This chipset is also coupled with Mali-G68 GPU for smooth graphics performance.

Furthermore, the Galaxy F34 comes with a generous internal storage capacity of 128GB and a whopping 8GB of RAM. The internal storage is expandable using the microSD storage card. The device also runs on Android 13 with One UI 5.1 interface layered on top, offering a customized user experience.

To keep you going throughout the day, the Samsung F34 packs a substantial 6,000mAh battery capacity which is a notable highlight. It also supports 25W fast charging, so you can quickly top up your device when needed.
