Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has said Arsenal will not win the Premier League title because they don’t have world-class forwards in their squad.

Carragher, speaking on Monday Night Football, said the Gunners must find a way to increase their goals from open play.

Mikel Arteta’s side are now fourth on the table after a 2-1 loss at Fulham, which followed a home defeat to West Ham on Thursday.

The results saw Arsenal miss two opportunities to move back to the top of the table.

“They need to be scoring more from open play. On a recent MNF with Freddie Ljungberg, we were almost debating this different Arsenal. And it is a different Arsenal to the one we saw last season.

“My feeling then was that if the attacking front three or four didn’t improve, I felt Arsenal wouldn’t win the league. I still believe that,” Carragher said.
