Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that midfielder Enzo Fernandez will miss his side’s Premier League tie with Wolves on Christmas Eve.
Pochettino, who spoke at his pre-match press conference on Friday, said Fernandez has a hernia problem.
Recall that Fernandez was subbed off after just 32 minutes of Chelsea’s recent Carabao Cup win over Newcastle United.
The Argentina international looked poorly as he went off the pitch, with Pochettino later stating that he ‘felt sick.’
“Enzo is going to be out of the game against Wolverhampton,” Pochettino said.
“We are going to see if he can be involved again as soon as possible.
“You already have the information that it was a hernia and he also didn’t feel well. We are going to give treatment with the doctor.”
