Enyimba head coach Olanrewaju Yemi has revealed that the victory against Shooting Stars was one of their best results in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The defending champions claimed a 2-1 victory over their hosts at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on Sunday.

Chijioke Mbaoma and Chibueze Izuogu were on target for Enyimba in the game.

The hosts got their goal through Kareem Ademola.

Yemi praised his players for their discipline and commitment in the game.

“Shooting Stars is one of the biggest clubs in the country with history so playing against them we know it’s going to be competitive,” he told DAILY POST.

“We actually dominated our last three away games including the game here in Ibadan, we had a game plan of stopping Shooting Stars from scoring which the players did perfectly.

“I’m not really surprised with the outcome of the result despite our long injury crisis.

“We know that we are going to beat Shooting Stars having watched their last game in Lagos, I already know their game plan which aided us to victory, the boys showed discipline, were compact and played to instructions.”

Enyimba moved up to third position on the table following the win.
