Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has doled out N30m to Rivers United’s U-17 side, DAILY POST reports.

The feeders team won the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) U-17 Youth League earlier this year.

The gesture, according to Fubara, is in recognition of the team’s performance at the competition.

He congratulated the players and coaches on their well-deserved victory, praising their hard work and dedication to the sport.

DAILY POST reports that Rivers United defeated Katsina United 4-2 in the final of the competition.

Seiyefa Jackson won the highest goal scorer award, while Oscar Ozornwanfor emerged as the best player in the tournament.
