The Rivers State Judiciary has confirmed that eight judges, recently recommended by the National Judicial Council, NJC, will be sworn in on Friday, 20th September 2024, by the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.

The Chief Registrar of the High Court of Rivers State, David Ihua-Maduenyi, disclosed this in a statement.

Ihua-Maduenyi noted that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at 12:00pm at the Executive Council Chambers of the Government House, Port Harcourt.

According to the statement, the judges to be sworn in are Justice Frank Onviri, Victor Chinedum Ugoji, Godswill Vidal-Obomanu, Rita Chituru-Oguguo, Alatuwo Elkanah-Fubara, Barivima Sylvester Kokpan, Lesi Wifa-Adedipe, and Ibietela Innocent Madighi Obu.

The Chief Registrar urged all concerned to be seated at the venue by 11:30am.
