Kano Pillars head coach, Usman Abdallah has expressed disappointment with his team’s 2-0 defeat to Remo Stars.

The Sai Masu Gida suffered a 2-0 loss to Remo Stars at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, on Sunday.

Ismail Sodiq and Franck Mawuena got the goals for the Sky Blue Stars.

Abdallah acknowledged that Remo Stars’ early preparation for the new season gave them a competitive edge.

“It’s a painful defeat for us, especially at home,” Abdallah stated in a post-match interview.

“Remo Stars have been well-prepared because of their continental commitments, while we are still building up.

“But I am confident we will bounce back and aim for maximum points in our upcoming games.”
