Bayelsa United midfielder Wisdom Magbisa has expressed delight after scoring his first goal for the club.
Magbisa opened scoring for the Prosperity Boys in the 3-2 victory over Plateau United at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Sunday.
“It was a game we really needed to win. “I thank God that we got the victory,” he said in a post-match interview.
“I am very happy to score in my first start of the season. It a good one and I want to continue from there.
“We pushed hard in training and give our best. I just want to let the fans know we will give our best and we are going to escape relegation.”
Bayelsa United occupy 17th position on the table with 42 points from 34 games.
