Josh Maja was the hero as West Bromwich Albion recorded an excellent 2-1 win over Stoke City in a pulsating Sky Bet Championship clash on Saturday.

Karlan Grant put West Brom in control in the 18th minute.

The home team, however, equalised through Lewis Koumas 11 minutes later.

Maja scored the winning goal a minute before the half hour mark.

It was Nigerian’s third goal of the campaign for the Baggies.

The 25-year-old was in action for the entire duration of the game.

The forward’s compatriot, Semi Ajayi, also featured for 90 minutes.
