Super Eagles defender, Olisah Ndah, has revealed that the competition for starting spots in the team is “healthy.”

The Orlando Pirates star was called up to the Super Eagles team for their AFCON 2025 qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda.

The 26-year-old returned to the Super Eagles squad for the first time since 2022.

Ndah came on in the 63rd minute during Nigeria’s 3-0 win against Benin at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Saturday.

He replaced Calvin Bassey as Nigeria claimed all three points against Gernot Rohr’s side.

Speaking about the quality of the team, Ndah said in quotes revealed by Goal:

“I think it is a healthy competition and there are lots of great players in the team. No matter who starts, I think we are committed to the team.

“It is a good reception and there are a lot of great guys here. I am enjoying my moments here.”
