Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise has said that 1998 World Cup winners Zinedine Zidane and Thierry Henry were his idols while growing up as a child.

Olise spoke at a press conference held at Clairefontaine ahead of France’s clash with Italy in a UEFA Nations League clash at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The former Crystal Palace star had received his first call-up to France’s senior national team.

The 22-year-old is now set to play a cap-tying game for France on Friday.

Speaking about his idols, Olise said: “Zidane, Henry. There are a lot of quality players in this selection but I like these two players.”
