French President Emmanuel Macron is refusing to accept Prime Minister Gabriel Attal’s resignation.

DAILY POST reported that Attal announced his intention to resign following the outcome of the parliamentary elections.

This came after Attal’s party failed to secure a majority in the elections, leading to his decision to step down.

He became France’s youngest prime minister in January this year at 34.

However, Macron has asked Attal to remain prime minister for the time being to ensure the country’s stability.
