The House of Representatives Committee on Digital and Information Communication Technology has disclosed plans to dialogue with stakeholders on the process of developing a national digital economy.

The stakeholders dialogue which will prominently feature the media, will also brainstorm on the National Digital Economy and e-Governance Bill currently before the National Assembly.

The engagement is to be held in collaboration with the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrimes, led by Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu.

Chairman of the House Committee on Digital and Information Communication Technology Adedeji Stanley Olajide said the engagement is in line with the commitment of the National Assembly to an inclusive process in lawmaking.

He said this will be the first of a series of engagements by the leadership of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrimes and the House Committee on Digital and Information Communication Technology in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communication, Information and Digital Economy.
