Free agent, Nelson Esor is currently training with Nigeria Premier Football League side Rivers United ahead of a move to the club, according to reports.
Okwa was released by Tanzania side, Simba FC less than a year after he joined the club.
DAILY POST learnt Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma is considering handing the midfielder a contract till the end of the season.
The 26-year-old midfielder will look to earn a contract at his former club.
Okwa was formerly on the books of Rivers United before travelling abroad to Tanzania.
He also represented Ihefu SC in the Tanzanian League.
